We are still under the severe weather grip

We remained deep deeeep in the grip of freezing snow and ice. Tavelling was still very hazardous and perhaps it was not worth trying to.

Though the snow has now eased, widespread ice has become so problematic in many parts particularly on untreated routes as temperatures stay well below zero across many parts of the UK.

Airports, roads and trains have all been hit by the severe weather. Thousands of schools have closed and we are expecting many more to close tomorrow.

I was trapped for 4 hours this morning after having ventured out. However, I am now savely back at base with lots of warm coffee and watching and listening to things as they unravel. Keep watching the space folk, we are still in it.
